When Royal Caribbean introduce a new breed of ship the world watches in anticipation, this year is no different as Royal Caribbean are ready to set the imagination on fire when in the autumn of 2009 Oasis of the Seas will cast its magnificent frame from the Akur yard in Finland to Southampton before transferring to Miami to start her first cruising season.

Oasis of the Seas will be the largest and most revolutionary cruise ship in the world. She will span 16 decks and at 222,000 gross tons will carry an amazing 5,400 passengers. Oasis of the Seas has a number of thrilling features including the AquaTheatre, the largest at-sea freshwater pool which by night transforms into an outdoor entertainment venue. The Rising Tide Bar on Oasis of the Seas will slowly ascend and descend three decks and the beautiful Central Park will feature a vast range of restaurants, shops, lounges and bars between serene pathways, seasonal flower gardens and canopy trees.
